Keep the energy up with the rat-a-tat of drums and choral chanting as your heroes fight off an attack from a powerful foe, or have it playing in the background while they race to escape their floundering ship after a surprise attack blows a hole in the hull! And when there’s nothing they can do to win, let one of this pack’s slower tracks play as your heroes are forced to watch the villain succeed in sinking their ship or taking over the kingdom’s castle. Let your heroes forge ahead with blaring horns urging them forward, or warn them that time is limited with quick, insistent violins punctuated with heavy drums. When the Players walks back onto Region 2 (the grey ground-tiles), the music will resume playing from where it did a fadeout and saved. If the Player walks onto Region 1 (the brown ground tile on the map), the music will fadeout (2 second fadeout) and save position. The Players starts on Region 2, so the music will be playing. ![]() *There's another parallel running event that will check to see if the Player is on either Region 1 or Region 2. In this way it has that switch to be sure it's on every time the Player enters that map (you can adjust accordingly for your own project). *There's an event that will run in a parallel process, to Control Switch, turn-on the "BGM_Status" switch, then I have an Erase event command. *I set up the starting map (Map001) to play a background music via the Map Properties (Town2 music). It's un-encrypted, so you can look at it in your VxAce program. ![]()
